"I continue to be moved and impressed by the quality and power of the (Society) and how it has become the anchor in the United States that enables leaders to shape the debates of this generation and directly connect with the public."
- The Late Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto

The Hudson Union Society® provides an intimate modern setting for people from all walks of life to actively engage with some of the world's most influential best-known people.

Why?

An eclectic mix of distinguished luminaries descends from the starry heights of celebrity to engage with people from across the social spectrum via the Hudson Union Society®'s robust lineup of speaking events, film premieres, and mixers. Parked at the intersection of the capitol beltway and Hollywood's red-carpet highways, the Society invites trailblazers from the fields of entertainment, government, business, military, and science to share their perspectives in an intimate setting, encouraging a style of discourse rarely found in America since Benjamin Franklin invented cable news. A nonpartisan approach and a reputation for fostering independent viewpoints allows the Society to be picky in its process of selecting guests.

We believe that by fostering independent thought and multiple perspectives, we can all better understand our world and shape its future. We are non-partisan and not beholden to any one orthodoxy or perspective.

The Hudson Union Society's® mission is to make today's leaders accessible to the public, to discuss tomorrow's ideas, so we all can affect our future.

The frequency of our events ensures that new and interesting experiences are always just around the corner.

The Hudson Union Society® name means - close to a main artery river, where what happens here (at the Society) is disseminated to the Nation and the World, and Union - bringing unique people and leaders intimately together. The Yale Political Union, Cambridge Union Society, and Oxford Union amongst others, all use the Union term.

From our members, we ask only one thing: open-minded engagement. Whether attending  speaking events, Academy Award nominated red-carpet film premieres with the cast, black tie galas, member mixers, live musical performances or parliamentary-style debates, we encourage everyone to "Join the Conversation."
